Coronavirus (COVID-19) Updates

WaterMarc is open in accordance with all State Government regulations.  This means that the number of patrons and visitors to the Centre at any one time is limited to 1 person per 2 square metres.
The Centre will be vigilant in implementing infection control procedures including daily cleaning in accordance with normal protocols, the promotion of healthy hygiene habits and will make hand sanitiser available for staff and patrons to use while using the Centre.

Remember, if you are feeling unwell or showing symptoms of the flu, cough or cold to please remain away from the centre until you are feeling 100%.  We look forward to supporting you in good health and fitness as we reopen.

Update - 09/06/2021

Following the State Government directive, lockdown restrictions remain in place for Metro Melbourne, meaning we will remain closed until further Government direction. 

While we have seen some freedom for Metro Victoria, these easing restriction unfortunately do not include Community Leisure facilities like ours.

Your Membership    

  • Your membership will be placed on a free suspension for the further 7-day closure period. 
  • All future bookings you have made (for the closure period) will be cancelled.   
  • We will contact you once the advised temporary closure period concludes, or as directed by the Government.    
  • We will be giving you FREE access to the Home Fitness Network during the closure period, see below for more information. 

Current Restrictions 

Restrictions still apply in line with circuit breaker lockdown revisions from the State Government. 

  • the five reasons to leave home will no longer apply in metro Melbourne. 
  • the existing 10-kilometre limit will be increased to 25 kilometres. 
  • Travel to regional Victoria is a no go for now. 
  • Restaurants, cafés and pubs will reopen with density limits in place, unfortunately not community leisure facilities like ours. 
  • Restrictions including mask-wearing remain in place. 
  • Victoria QR requirements are mandatory to check-in across the whole of the State

As per State Government directive, the current restrictions will remain in place for a further seven days. We will be closed until Friday 11 June.

  • Shopping for essentials like groceries, medicine and necessary supplies 

  • Medical or healthcare needs, including compassionate requirements and looking after the vulnerable 

  • Exercise within your neighbourhood, with your household members, your intimate partner, or one other person who is not from your household or your partner for up to two hours per day 

  • Authorised work or study 

  • To get your COVID-19 vaccination

7-Day Circuit Breaker Lockdown in place 

 As per State Government directive, we will be closed effective from 11.59pm tonight (Thursday 27 May) until 11.59pm Thursday 3 June. 

This period is subject to change in line with revisions from the state government.  

Due to this temporary closure, please read below what this will mean for you, our members and guests.    

By staying at home and limiting contact with other people, we can each help to protect the elderly, the at-risk, and healthcare workers and slow the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19).   

Your Membership    

  • Your membership will be placed on a free suspension for the 7-day closure period. 
  • All future bookings you have made (for the closure period) will be cancelled.   
  • We will contact you once the advised temporary closure period concludes, or as directed by the Government.

Update - 25/05/2021

Face masks must be worn when visiting

As per State Government directive, revised restrictions apply effective 6pm tonight – Tuesday 25 May – Melbourne metro. 

Masks will be required indoors and outdoors where people cannot physically distance. Your face mask must be worn when visiting our centre except when in the pool, exercising or drinking. 

We will re-open with density limits in accordance with Government directives. Please check our timetable and refer to signage in our Centre for details.

Update - 24/03/2021

Update. Eased restrictions and Check-In requirements 

In line with the announcement from the VIC Government, from 6pm on Friday 26 March, Victoria will further relax its COVIDSafe Settings. 

Face masks will no longer be required in retail settings but Victorians will still need to carry one with them at all times. 

There will no longer be limits on capacity (other than 1 per 2sqm density quotient). Please check our website for operating and timetable updates. 

As required by the VIC Government, we must manage Check-In and Out for Contact Tracing record keeping. 

What does this mean for you and us? 

  • Pen and paper contract tracing methods are no longer a suitable form of contact tracing 
  • All members, staff and visitors should Check in using the Services Vic app 

How to use the Services Vic app? 

  • The free Services Vic app is available for download from the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. 
  • You should use the Services Vic app each time you enter and exit our facility 

If you do not have a smartphone or are unable to use one, others in your group can check in for you or staff at the premises will be able to check you in manually.

Update - 26/02/2021 12pm

Don’t Make It a Task. Carry a Mask. 

In line with the announcement from the VIC Government, it is mandatory to carry a face mask with you at all times. You must wear a mask in situations where you cannot distance yourself 1.5m from others. This is relevant to both indoor and outdoor settings.  Even with a mask, please keep 1.5 metres distance between you and others. 

Please note: A face covering needs to cover both your nose & mouth and be either a cloth or surgical mask.

Update - 04/02/2021

The safety and wellbeing of our members and team members is our number one priority. 
In line with VIC Government directives, from 11:59pm on 3 February 2021 new statewide restrictions are in effect. Face masks are mandatory in public indoor spaces. 

All members and guests visiting our venue in the must carry and wear a face covering. 

  • You do not need to wear a face mask when exercising outdoors or indoors.  It is recommended that you wear a face mask when you are indoors, and you cannot keep 1.5 metres distance from others.    

  •   You still need to carry a face mask with you at all times. 

Exceptions to mask wearing are provided for children under 12 and people with medical conditions or disabilities.

Update - 18/12/2020 1:00pm

The State Government and health officials have imposed new border restrictions as a result of the growing coronavirus cluster in Sydney's Northern Beaches.  

Effective immediately (18.12.20) anyone travelling or travelled since Dec 11 from the NSW hotspot areas will need to be tested and self-isolate for two weeks. 

This includes visitors and residents returning home. 

For the health and safety of our guests and visitors we ask these restrictions to be followed. If you are  
feeling unwell or showing flu like symptoms to please get tested and not travel.

If I have or am undergoing a period of self-isolation, what happens to my membership?
